The History Of The Village

In the past , the life in the village was very slow that affect badly on the activity of the local citizens as there were nothing to do. The economic situation was extremely bad as they were unable to reach the economic centers easily. The economic activity was very little. They used to buy orange on their animals from the city of Jafa to sell the product in the internal regions of  Palestine and East Jordan . They also used to trade with animal products such eggs and cheese and with wheat to sell them in the markets of the city of Nablus . They also used to do some work such as road pavement and maintenance.

 

The farming in the village of Anza includes planting of traditional corps such as wheat and cereals including lintels which is considered to be the best in its quality.   

 

The citizens used to grow many others items in the farms surrounding their houses such as tomato, Onion, garlic , Spinach, Parsley, Mint, beans, Radish, Sesame  and others including animal fodders.

 

Industry:

 There was no industry in its real meaning but there was industries connected with the daily life of the people such as plaster, ceramic and slaked lime industries, olive pressing used to be pressed by old presses which are run by  animals  , brush industry , cloth industry , colored dishes made of long wheat straw , hand yarn  works and other light  industries that make the life of people easy.

 

Business:

 There was no business  in its real meaning but there was in the past farming trading . But lately the village has witness some other non farming business such as clothes trading which used to be brought from Syria. To day people are practicing many businesses for example modern clothes trading , antique trading and house hold trading…etc.
